About StonehamLocated along I-93, about 10 minutes north of Boston, Stoneham is a very convenient place to live for people of all ages. Stoneham was founded in 1634 as part of Charlestown and was officially deemed Stoneham in 1725. Aspects of the area's rich colonial history can still be seen in some of the architecture.
Stoneham's public school system consists of three elementary schools, Stoneham Central Middle School and Stoneham High School.
